Fordingbridge Junior School Assembly 28/04/2011

Yesterday I was able to achieve another goal of mine. I think that it is just as important to work hard off the pitch as it is on it. I went back to my old Junior school in Fordingbridge to do an assembly on the Olympics and Paralympics .
At the school i met a young boy called Jakey who also suffers from CP but as you can see in the photo's his condition is more severe than my own- a real reminder how lucky i am.
Hi Alex,

thank you so much for coming over this morning and speaking with the children. The children have been coming up to me all day talking either about you or the sport that they might do at the Olympics!

And wasn't it brilliant when Jakey said - completely unprompted - that you had inspired him! A moment to treasure.

Here are copies of the photos I took. Jakey's parents are happy for them to be used in the press if you wished to.

Best of luck for June!
